Our Staff

I love my job. I like dealing with different types of people. I love to help them and to see a smile on their face. Their happiness is the most important thing.

Visiting Homemaker has over 60 years of experience helping people remain living safely in the comfort of home. Our staff shares the agency’s commitment to providing excellence in care. They are compassionate and skilled caregivers who you can trust.

Because our agency has been providing care for over five decades, we have a staff of mature and experienced aides, many of whom have been with us for a decade or more. They have been welcomed into homes throughout Bergen County and they know how to reassure and help people who are nervous about accepting the help of strangers in their homes.

All our aides are fully qualified to provide the care you need. We utilize a thorough screening process to give you peace of mind and ensure that you will receive the highest quality care. Every aide that is accepted on to our service team undergoes a personal screening interview; professional and personal reference checks; and a health screening.

All our home health aides have completed a training course and are certified by the State of New Jersey. They also must complete a written test and demonstrate their caregiving skills to our nurse before they will be hired. Once our aides join our staff, their training does not end. They participate in quarterly in-service training to reinforce their skills and learn new ones. They are also supervised in your home by the agency’s professional nurse.

Our registered nurses all have many years of experience working with frail elderly or disabled people who want to remain living at home. They are skilled health professionals who are keenly sensitive to the stresses and anxieties that families face in dealing with illness and disabilities. They guide and support patients and families and they supervise and support our aides to ensure that you receive the care that is just right for your unique needs.
