2015 Ed Remsen
Visiting Homemaker Home Health Aide Service (VHS) recently welcomed Ed Remsen as the Executive Director. Mr Remsen has worked with the American Heart & Stroke Association, Big Brother Big Sisters Organizations, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ and the Susan G. Komen Organization. He has been active in affordable housing, open housing and equal pay issues. Ed has served non-profit boards including Health Republic Insurance Company of NJ, Suceed2gether, and the Montclair Economic Development Corp. Ed served on the Montclair Township Council for eight years and was Mayor of Montclair from 2004-2008. Ed has a BA in Urban Studies and a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
VHS has been awarded a grant of $2500.00 from The Provident Bank Foundation. This grant will be supporting our Care At Home Program. Thank you Provident Bank Foundation!
We just had a great meeting with the Community Chest of Englewood. Before leaving, they gave us a grant of $15,000.00 to help provide home care to the low-income residents of Englewood, Englewood Cliffs and Tenafly. We thank the Community Chest of Englewood for helping us to help others.
